European leaders drew a transparent line over Greenland Tuesday, vowing an “unflinching” response to Washington’s threats at the same time as US President Donald Trump stated he was prepared to carry a gathering in Davos about his plans to take the autonomous Danish territory. EU chief Ursula von der Leyen warned of relations “plunging right into a downward spiral” whereas Greenland’s PM stated the island’s inhabitants have to be ready for army pressure.
