Exiled Syrian household returns residence to ruins of Yarmouk refugee camp after fall of Assad

South of the Syrian capital Damascus, Yarmouk refugee camp was the scene of violent clashes between Bashar al-Assad’s regime and insurgent militias, and later the Islamic State group, in the course of the virtually 14-year-long Syrian struggle. Ahmed and Jihane Tameem have been amongst those that fled the bombs on the finish of 2012. Three years later, they left Syria and located refuge in Sweden with their two youngsters. Now, after the autumn of Assad, they’ve returned residence to reunite with their family members. FRANCE 24’s Claire Billet and Olivier Jobard report.
