A nationwide recall is underway for a Cabot Creamery caramel and cheddar popcorn mix, the Meals and Drug Administration (FDA) introduced Friday.
Jody’s Inc., the popcorn’s producer, initiated the recall after being notified of two buyer complaints of peanuts discovered contained in the bag—which aren’t listed as an allergen.
The undeclared peanuts now pose the danger of great or probably life-threatening allergic reactions for folks with an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts.
