The Swiss Playing Supervisory Authority (Gespa), is investigating whether or not FIFA’s blockchain-based “proper to-buy” (RTB) tokens adjust to nationwide playing legal guidelines, amidst rising issues over their speculative construction and restricted sensible utility. Gespa Director Manuel Richard stated that an inside evaluation didn’t present ample grounds to shut the inquiry, prompting additional fact-finding. Launched in 2024, the tokens grant holders conditional entry to tickets for the 2026 World Cup finals if their nationwide crew qualifies and may be traded on FIFA’s NFT market.
