Former MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd tried to defend the controversial feedback he made about Charlie Kirk this week and took a swipe at his former employer on Friday for caving to a "mob."

Dowd was dropped by the progressive community after suggesting the conservative activist's "hateful" rhetoric had prompted the capturing in Utah that finally claimed his life, however he insisted he did not know Kirk was the sufferer on the time of his remarks.

Kirk, the outstanding conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Level USA, was shot and killed at a campus occasion Wednesday at Utah Valley College. He was 31.

The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested Thursday evening.
