Nancy Metayer Bowen, the vice mayor of Coral Springs, Florida, was shot and killed in her house. Her husband, Stephen Bowen, is a suspect, Florida Politics studies.
The town chief died after an obvious home violence incident on April 1. Bowen was apprehended after trying to flee.
Police turned concerned after a good friend of Metayer Bowen couldn’t attain her. After reaching Stephen Bowen, who “sounded suspicious,” the good friend determined to name the police. Coral Springs Police Chief Brad Mock mentioned officers adopted up with a wellness test round 10 a.m. After Metayer Bowen was discovered useless, authorities put a name out for Bowen.
Based on NBC Miami, Bowen, 40, was sporting a long-sleeved shirt, athletic shorts and sneakers throughout his arrest. He was booked on fees of premeditated homicide and tampering with or fabricating bodily proof.
As soon as the information hit social media, an outpouring of condolences poured in, together with feedback and movies concerning the work of Metayer Bowen, a Haitian-American with a powerful resume.
“Heartbroken to be taught of the tragic lack of Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen. Praying for her household, family members, and the Coral Springs group throughout this devastating time,” Florida Rep. Byron Donalds wrote on X.
