The French Parliament definitively handed on Tuesday, July 8, the controversial Duplomb agricultural regulation, offered as a response to the anger of farmers through the winter of 2024. The invoice goals to simplify the work of farmers, who’re portrayed as overwhelmed by environmental rules. It notably seeks to facilitate the development of mega-reservoirs — giant water storage amenities used for irrigation — in addition to the creation or enlargement of intensive livestock farming buildings.
