France’s public broadcasters, together with FRANCE 24, joined strikes on June 30 in opposition to a proposed merger that may unite France Médias Monde (FMM) with France Télévisions, Radio France and the Nationwide Audiovisual Institute (INA) beneath the path of a single chief government officer. Unions mentioned the proposed holding could be “extraordinarily harmful” each for workers and for the independence of stories protection. France 24’s Marc Perelman tells us extra.
