Head-on semitruck crash causes massive oil spill on Central California freeway

[ad_1] A head-on collision involving two semitrucks Thursday morning close to Avenal in Kings County resulted in 3,000 gallons of oil spillage and an hours-long freeway closure.

The accident occurred at about 6:20 a.m. on Freeway 33, north of South seventh Avenue in Avenal, in response to Kings County spokesperson Michael Powers.

Roughly 3,000 gallons of crude oil spilled on the scene because of the crash, stated Powers.
