At an emergency UN Safety Council assembly in New York on Saturday afternoon, US Ambassador Mike Waltz mentioned the strikes have been “directed towards particular and strategic aims: to dismantle missile capabilities that threaten allies, to degrade naval belongings used to destabilise worldwide waters, and to disrupt the equipment that arms proxy militias and to make sure the Iranian regime, by no means ever can threaten the world with a nuclear weapon”.
