Is the Mediterranean turning into plastic soup?

The Mediterranean is considered probably the most polluted sea on Earth. The equal of 34,000 plastic bottles are dumped into it each minute. This unprecedented stage of air pollution is devastating for each people and marine life, half of that are discovered nowhere else on the planet. FRANCE 24’s Right down to Earth staff met with volunteers and scientists preventing plastic waste on the island of Corsica, one of many worst affected places on this planet.
