On Sunday, we reported on the growing mess in Mexico: The resort city of Puerto Vallarta locked down, journey warnings, vacationers “suggested” to remain throughout the resorts, to shelter in place. There have been rumors that the combating was kicked off by the Mexican navy’s killing a infamous cartel goblin, Ruben “Nemesio” Oseguera Cervantes, generally known as “El Mencho,” chief of the Jalisco New Era Cartel (CJNG). That killing has now been confirmed. Now, over Sunday evening, Mexico is plunged into warfare between the Mexican authorities and the cartels; the navy is once more concerned, and there are indications that the cartels could have the federal government outgunned.
