TOKYO, Dec 9 (Reuters) – Japanese authorities lifted tsunami warnings on Tuesday hours after a robust 7.5-magnitude earthquake shook northeastern areas, injuring a minimum of 30 individuals and forcing about 90,000 residents to evacuate their properties.
The earthquake struck off the coast at 11:15 p.m. (1415 GMT) on Monday, and the Japan Meteorological Company mentioned a tsunami as excessive as 3 metres (10 toes) may hit the nation’s northeastern coast.
