The pinnacle lawyer of a human rights group representing the households of Venezuelan migrants imprisoned in El Salvador after being deported from the United States has been arrested.
Ruth López, an outspoken critic of President Nayib Bukele, was detained late on Sunday below an order from the prosecutor’s workplace which accused her of “embezzlement” when she labored for an electoral court docket a decade in the past, the human rights group Cristosal stated in a press release.
