In jap Lebanon, the Baalbek area – a stronghold of Hezbollah – has repeatedly been focused by Israeli strikes since March 2. Fleeing the bombardment, residents from the predominantly Shiite space have sought refuge within the close by Christian village of Deir al-Ahmar. FRANCE 24’s Laura Mousset travelled to this hilltop city overlooking the Bekaa Valley, round 100 kilometres northeast of Beirut, to witness this surge in solidarity.
