Low cost Trick addresses backlash on Trump Kennedy Heart Honors efficiency

The rock band Low cost Trick launched an announcement defending its efficiency on the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony hosted by President Donald Trump earlier this month.

On the Dec. 7 ceremony, Low cost Trick carried out the tune "Rock And Roll All Nite" in tribute to the band KISS, whose members have been among the many honorees of the night time.

After receiving some backlash from followers for acting at an occasion sponsored by Trump, the band took to Instagram on Wednesday to make clear the choice had nothing to do with politics.

"We have been requested to carry out at this 12 months’s Kennedy Heart Honors ceremony to pay tribute to our lifelong brothers in KISS, and to help artists and the humanities," the band wrote . "We agreed to do it for these causes, and no others."

Fox News Digital reached out to the Kennedy Heart for remark.

Different honorees included nation legend George Strait, Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, Broadway icon Michael Crawford and Grammy Award-winning singer Gloria Gaynor.

Trump started main the John F. Kennedy Heart for the Performing Arts after being elected as board chair in February. Since his induction, Trump has sought to reform the Kennedy Heart following allegations that it was selling a woke agenda.

In the course of the ceremony, Trump appeared to verify that he performed a significant position in selecting the honorees alongside the Particular Honors Advisory Committee.

"I used to be about 98% concerned… all of them got here by way of me," Trump informed reporters.

"I turned down loads, they have been too woke," he continued. "I had a few wokesters. No, we have now nice folks. That is very totally different than it was."

Trump can be the primary president to personally host the Kennedy Heart honors.

The forty eighth Annual Kennedy Heart Honors occurred on Dec. 7 on the Kennedy Heart in Washington, D.C., and can air Dec. 23 on the CBS Tv Community and on Paramount+.

White Home press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Thursday that the Kennedy Heart’s board voted unanimously to rename the establishment to the "Trump-Kennedy Heart."
