BRUSSELS, Jan 18 (Reuters) – Main European Union states together with Germany and France decried U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff threats over Greenland as blackmail on Sunday, as France proposed responding with a spread of untested financial countermeasures.
Trump vowed on Saturday to implement a wave of increasing tariffs on EU members Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland, together with Britain and Norway, till the U.S. is allowed to purchase Greenland.
