Meta will cease operating political advertisements within the EU

Meta will cease permitting political promoting on its platforms within the European Union as of October 2025, blaming the EU’s new “unworkable” transparency guidelines for what it known as a “tough choice.” In a press release launched by the corporate on Friday, Meta stated the EU’s incoming Transparency and Focusing on of Political Promoting (TTPA) rules introduced it with “vital operational challenges and authorized uncertainties.”
