A suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday in reference to the deadly capturing of a Missouri deputy , based on officers.

Richard Dean Fowl, 45, was apprehended early Tuesday morning following the deadly capturing of a Christian County deputy that occurred shortly earlier than 4 p.m. Monday, the Missouri State Freeway Patrol mentioned on social media.

The incident triggered a manhunt for the suspect, who was thought of to be armed and harmful.

The Missouri State Freeway Patrol described the suspect as a bald white man with brown eyes standing about 5 toes 6 inches tall and weighing roughly 145 kilos.

The suspect car was earlier recognized as a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado prolonged cab pickup truck with Missouri license plate 9MGX36.

The truck was seen within the space of the capturing and was later reported touring southbound on U.S. Route 160 from Route HH in Christian County. U.S. 160 runs south via southern Missouri and crosses into north-central Arkansas east of Harrison.

"Truck has been situated," the Stone County Sheriff's Workplace, which assisted within the search, wrote Monday evening on X.

A number of lawmakers earlier reacted to the dying of the deputy.

"A deputy in my house county was shot and killed right this moment. Erin and I are praying for his household. Could justice be swift," Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., mentioned in a press release to Fox Information Digital.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., mentioned the incident was "a devastating loss in Christian County."

"As native regulation enforcement works to deliver the suspect to justice, my prayers are with the deputy’s family members and those that served shoulder to shoulder with him to maintain Missouri secure," Schmitt wrote on X.

Missouri State Rep. Jamie Ray Gragg mentioned on Fb: "My coronary heart is damaged for our deputy’s household. Whereas they understood that this career carries danger, mindless acts like this are past comprehension."
