VILNIUS, Oct 23 (Reuters) – NATO member Lithuania mentioned two Russian army plane entered its airspace on Thursday for about 18 seconds, prompting a proper protest and a response from NATO forces, whereas Russia denied the incident.
The 2 plane, an Su-30 fighter and Il-78 refuelling tanker, have been probably on a refuelling coaching mission once they flew 700 metres (0.43 mile) into Lithuania from the Kaliningrad area at about 1500 GMT, the army mentioned.
