Nepal’s former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been named the nation’s interim prime minister following lethal protests this week that killed at the least 51 individuals, injured greater than 1,300, and led to the escape of 1000’s of prisoners.
On Friday, President Ramchandra Paudel’s workplace introduced the appointment of Karki, the nation’s first feminine head of presidency. The 73-year-old, the one girl to have served as chief justice of Nepal’s Supreme Courtroom, was set to be sworn in late Friday.
