Dame Sarah Mullally, the present bishop of London, is the brand new Archbishop of Canterbury designate. This can be a landmark appointment, as she would be the first feminine Archbishop within the Church of England, usually known as “mom church” of the worldwide Anglican Communion (estimated to be round 85 million to 100 million members). It comes after an almost year-long technique of “discernment” by the Crown Nominations Fee, chaired by the previous head of the safety service (MI5), Lord Evans of Weardale.
