A winner of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize has spoken to FRANCE 24 about how she wished to be a make-up artist in her small village in northern Iraq earlier than her life was almost destroyed by the Islamic State group. In 2014, when Nadia Murad was simply 21 years previous, IS group terrorists attacked her group, killing a whole bunch of individuals, together with her mom and 6 of her 9 brothers. Together with almost 7,000 different Yazidi ladies and youngsters, she was kidnapped and like a lot of them was raped, overwhelmed and tortured for a number of months. Now, although, she is a strong voice for all survivors of genocide and sexual violence. Her story is documented in her guide “The Final Lady: My Story of Captivity and My Struggle In opposition to the Islamic State”. She spoke to us in Perspective.
