Perry Bamonte, longtime guitarist and keyboardist for The Remedy, died over the Christmas holiday . He was 65.

The band released a statement on their official web site confirming Bamonte's demise, noting he "handed away after a brief sickness."

"It's with monumental disappointment that we affirm the demise of our nice good friend and bandmate Perry Bamonte, who handed away after a brief sickness at house over Christmas," the band wrote. "Quiet, intense, intuitive, fixed and massively artistic, 'Teddy' was a warm-hearted and important a part of The Remedy story."
