Born in Pontypridd, Wales , Campbell first made his mark within the late Nineteen Seventies with the heavy metallic band Persian Threat. He launched his first solo album, "Previous Lions Nonetheless Roar," in 2019 and toured together with his sons in Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

Former Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee known as Campbell "the funniest man I've ever recognized and the perfect rock guitar participant I've ever performed with."

Dee added on Instagram, "Most of all, I'll miss hanging out with the nicest man you would ever meet… Sleep properly, my good friend and rock soldier. Say hello to Lemmy, Würzel, Filthy and Eddie. I'm certain you’ll be a loopy gang hanging out collectively once more!"

Campbell’s demise is the most recent in a series of losses for Motörhead followers.

Guitarist "Quick Eddie" Clarke, who helped craft the band’s basic sound, died in 2018 at 67.

Clarke, who joined the band shortly after its founding in 1975 by Kilmister, was the final surviving member of the group’s basic lineup and helped file iconic hits like "Ace of Spades."
