The Pittsburgh Pirates fan who fell greater than 20 ft onto the sphere at PNC Park has been recognized as Kavan Markwood, a 20-year-old former school soccer participant, in accordance with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Evaluation.
Markwood was on the heart of a haunting scene Wednesday within the seventh inning of the Pirates’ sport towards the Chicago Cubs after he tumbled over a railing in proper discipline and onto the warning monitor. He was immobile and shirtless as EMS and the groups’ trainers attended to him, and was ultimately taken off the sphere on a stretcher. The sport was then resumed, ending as a 4-3 Pirates win.
