The Syrian presidency on Saturday introduced an instantaneous ceasefire after days of sectarian violence within the predominantly Druze province of Sweida that left greater than 900 individuals useless, in line with a battle monitor. The US envoy to Syria earlier stated that Israel and Syria had agreed to a ceasefire following Israel’s intervention this week in help of Druze armed teams that clashed with Bedouin clans and authorities forces.
