Russia and China started joint naval drills within the Sea of Japan on Sunday as they search to strengthen their “no-limits” strategic partnership – signed shortly earlier than Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The drills happen two days after US President Donald Trump introduced he had deployed two nuclear submarines to “the suitable areas” in response to feedback by former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.
