Sectarian clashes in Syria: Are the Druze focused as a neighborhood?

Israel launched air strikes and deployed troops in southern Syria over the weekend following clashes involving the nation’s Druze minority. The violence was sparked by the circulation of an audio recording attributed to a Druze citizen and deemed blasphemous. “As we converse, we now have 47 Druze militia males killed, 28 safety members, 14 civilians”, FRANCE 24’s Wassim Nasr mentioned in an evaluation, including that one other 4 civilians have been killed in a drone strike.
