The Wall Road Journal reported that 5 sheikhs from Hebron despatched a letter to Financial system Minister Nir Barkat expressing their want to interrupt away from the Palestinian Authority, be a part of the Abraham Accords and acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state. In accordance with the report, the sheikhs have met with Minister Barkat greater than 12 occasions since February and requested him to current the letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
