As the humidity rises in 35-degree Tokyo, so too do the useless. Ever for the reason that Edo interval, Japanese summertime has been related to the arrival of supernatural forces – a season outlined by malevolent spirits. Because the nation’s temperatures soar, it’s believed that the boundaries separating the world of the residing and the useless start to wane, permitting as soon as contained ghosts to slither into our realm.
It’s below this sweaty backdrop that I discover myself wandering Silent Hill f’s fog-laden Japan. Set within the fictional city of Ebisugaoka throughout the Nineteen Sixties, gamers are put into the dust-coated footwear of a misunderstood teenage woman named Hinako. Summer season or no, Hinako’s story begins in suitably bleak vogue. Fleeing her drunk and abusive father, Hinako miserably roams the intricately rendered streets of her rural dwelling city. Failing to stay as much as the lofty requirements set by her impossibly stunning older sister, Hinako finds herself teased by classmates – misplaced, and struggling to know her place in society.
