Slovenia’s parliamentary election on Sunday appeared set to finish in a two-way tie between the ruling liberal Freedom Motion of Prime Minister Robert Golob and the opposition Slovenian Democratic Social gathering (SDS), led by populist Janez Jansa.
With some 99% of the votes counted, Golob’s get together was lower than half a share level forward with 28.5% versus the 28.1% tallied up for the SDS.
