Spain: Flood survivors demand justice and reparations, six months on

On October 29, 2024, flash floods in Spain’s jap Valencia area claimed 228 lives. Greater than six months later, residents are nonetheless struggling to rebuild. Past the financial toll, many say they can’t transfer on till accountability is addressed. Victims argue that lives misplaced – in vehicles, basements, and on the streets – may have been saved if regional authorities had issued well timed and ample warnings.
