Steve Cropper, Blues Brothers and Booker T. guitarist, dies at 84

Steve Cropper, Blues Brothers band member and Booker T. & the MG's guitarist, has died. He was 84.

Pat Mitchell Worley, president and CEO of the Soulsville Basis, instructed the Associated Press that Cropper's household notified her of his dying. Cropper died Wednesday in Nashville, in line with Worley.

Worley's basis operates on the Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis, the place Cropper's former employer, Stax Data, was once.

A reason behind dying for Cropper has not been shared. Eddie Gore, a longtime good friend of Cropper, instructed the outlet that he visited the musician at a rehabilitation heart on Tuesday. Gore stated that he suffered a latest fall and was working with Cropper on producing new music.

Cropper is most recognized for his time in Booker T. & the MG's. The band consisted of Cropper, keyboard participant Booker T. Jones, bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn and drummer Al Jackson. They have been a racially built-in band, which was uncommon for the time.
