New Zealand goals to eradicate feral cats by 2050, the nation’s conservation minister has introduced, in an echo of plans from a decade in the past that generated a fierce backlash from animal rights activists.
The conservation minister, Tama Potaka, introduced the addition of feral cats to the world-leading Predator-Free 2050 technique on Friday, the primary time a predator has been added to the record since its inception in 2016.
