Syrian who killed People was a part of safety forces, inside ministry says

Syria’s inside ministry mentioned Sunday the gunman who killed three People within the central Palmyra area the day before today was a member of the safety forces who was to have been fired for extremism. Two US troops and a civilian interpreter died in what the Syrian authorities described as a “terrorist assault” on Saturday, whereas Washington mentioned it had been carried out by an Islamic State group (IS) militant who was then killed.
