Taipei got here to a quick standstill on Thursday when air raid sirens compelled individuals off the streets and into underground shelters in a rehearsal for a Chinese language assault. The annual civilian drill is being held in cities throughout Taiwan this week, alongside navy coaching, to arrange the self-governed island for a possible Chinese language invasion.
