Tanzanian opposition chief Tundu Lissu tried to reassure his cheering supporters who had gathered to point out their help as he appeared in courtroom on treason costs on Monday. His Chadema social gathering accuses the ruling CCM of repression. It has ruled the nation since 1977 and now seems set to face little critical opposition in October’s elections, as Chadema has been disqualified from the race. A number of Kenyan politicians have been deported whereas making an attempt to attend Lissu’s trial.
