After 4 days in Israeli detention, Thiago Avila was relieved to be again in Brazil. He’d been taken into custody, together with 11 others, and spent two days in solitary confinement, after they’d tried to deliver humanitarian assist into Gaza by sea. Their vessel, the Madleen, was intercepted resulting in what he describes as a gruelling keep marked by inhumane therapy and a short starvation strike.
