President Donald Trump fired Federal Reserve Gov. Lisa Prepare dinner on Monday over allegations of mortgage fraud.
In a letter from Trump to Prepare dinner that was posted to social media, the president mentioned he had “adequate trigger” to take away her, citing her mortgage fraud allegations.
“I’ve decided that there’s adequate trigger to take away you out of your place,” Trump wrote.
Appointed by former President Joe Biden in 2022, Prepare dinner was lately accused by Federal Housing Finance Company head Invoice Pulte of committing mortgage fraud by itemizing two major residences. The president pledged to fireside her if she didn’t resign.
“In his preliminary allegations, Pulte included pictures of doc signatures apparently belonging to Prepare dinner that allegedly utilized to 2 completely different major residences, one in Michigan and one other described as an ‘Atlanta condominium,’” per the Hill.
Prepare dinner refused to resign regardless of the president’s calls for, saying she wouldn’t be “bullied to step down from my place due to some questions raised in a tweet.”

In his letter, the president mentioned that Prepare dinner’s alleged actions weaken Individuals’ belief within the Federal Reserve.
