WASHINGTON — On Saturday, President Donald Trump held a hideously costly army parade in Washington, D.C., on his birthday. Trump and his high officers stood on a stage on the Nationwide Mall behind two tanks, earlier than two giant digital American flags. Army bands and troops, some on horses, some in autos, some in tanks, others in Howitzers, marched within the streets. So did a couple of robotic canine. A military parachute crew jumped down. Helicopters flew over. Drones flew by. There have been many, many tanks.
