Two 20cm waves have been noticed in areas off the northeast coast of Japan earlier than the advisory was lifted.

The Japan Meteorological Company (JMA) has lifted a tsunami advisory for northern Japan’s Pacific coast that had been issued after an earthquake shook the area, nationwide broadcaster NHK reported, days after a bigger tremor injured at the least 50 individuals.
The magnitude 6.7 quake struck on Friday off the coast of Aomori Prefecture at 11:44am native time (02:44 GMT) at a depth of 20km (12.4 miles), the broadcaster reported, citing the JMA.
