Russian authorities have subjected civilian detainees in Ukrainian areas it occupies to “widespread” and “systematic” torture, together with sexual violence, the United Nations stated Tuesday. A UN rights workplace report concluded that Russia “has subjected Ukrainian civilian detainees to constant patterns of great violations” of worldwide legislation since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
