The USA Navy has, since 1945, enforced a Pax Americana on the world’s oceans, making the seaways (principally) protected for industrial site visitors. At present, within the western Pacific, the US Navy faces an opponent the likes of which it hasn’t confronted since, once more, 1945: China.
