A mom and two youngsters killed in a suspected triple homicide and tried suicide in County Fermanagh have been named by police as Vanessa Whyte, her son James Rutledge and daughter Sara Rutledge.

They died after being shot at a house in Drummeer Road in Maguiresbridge on Wednesday.

Vanessa, a veterinary surgeon, was 45, James was 14 and Sara was 13, the Police Service of Northern Eire (PSNI) mentioned.

A person - who's a member of the identical family - is being handled for critical gunshot accidents on the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The capturing occurred in a rural space about 75 miles (121km) west of Belfast and about eight miles from the county's largest city, Enniskillen.

Ms Whyte was initially from Barefield, County Clare, within the Republic of Eire.

Gardaí (Irish police) mentioned they had been working with the PSNI and a Garda household liaison has been appointed to the household of the deceased.

The mayor of Ennis, Mary Howard, mentioned the incident is "heartbreaking for the household involved and for Vanessa's extensive circle of mates".
