Polling stations closed throughout Thailand on Sunday after a day of voting to elect a brand new parliament.
The vote was a three-way race between the reformist Folks’s Get together, the conservative Bhumjaithai Get together of incumbent Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Pheu Thai, the social gathering backed by the still-influential Shinawatra household.
