Washington Put up editor’s firing results in free speech questions after Charlie Kirk’s killing

Washington Put up editor and columnist Karen Attiah mentioned Monday she had been fired after greater than a decade on the paper over feedback made since Charlie Kirk’s deadly taking pictures — a dismissal being criticized by the newspaper’s union and free speech organizations.

Attiah alleged on her Substack web page she was fired for “talking out towards political violence, racial double requirements, and America’s apathy towards weapons.”
