The Committee to Defend Journalists revealed a report alleging the systematic abuse of Palestinian media employees in Israeli detention facilities between 2023 and 2026. Via interviews with dozens of former detainees, the group documented harrowing accounts of torture, hunger, and sexual violence aimed toward silencing the press. The findings spotlight that almost all of those journalists have been held underneath administrative detention with out formal costs or entry to authorized counsel. Proof akin to medical data and images helps claims of utmost weight reduction and untreated accidents ensuing from bodily beatings. The advocacy group is now calling for worldwide accountability and impartial investigations into these alleged violations of humanitarian legislation. Regardless of these testimonies, the Israeli army maintains that it adheres to worldwide requirements and doesn’t deliberately goal members of the media.
