On Aug. 8, the calls began rolling in to Colorado Parks and Wildlife: Scary-looking rabbits have been hopping round Fort Collins. These weren’t your customary cute, fluffy bunnies; they’d horn-like growths protruding from their faces and our bodies. Folks on social media described them as “zombie” and “demon” rabbits and famous their resemblance to Frankenstein. One Fort Collins resident informed an area information station that she had seen a rabbit that seemed prefer it had “black quills or black toothpicks protruding throughout his or her mouth.”
