On Aug. 8, the calls began rolling in to Colorado Parks and Wildlife: Scary-looking rabbits had been hopping round Fort Collins. These weren’t your customary cute, fluffy bunnies; that they had horn-like growths protruding from their faces and our bodies. Individuals on social media described them as “zombie” and “demon” rabbits and famous their resemblance to Frankenstein. One Fort Collins resident informed a neighborhood information station that she had seen a rabbit that regarded prefer it had “black quills or black toothpicks protruding throughout his or her mouth.”
